help from charities to pay debts?

I know i'm probably clutching at straws here but does anyone know of charitable organisations that i could apply to for a grant to pay off debts? Currently I owe about 10K and have started a 5 year plan to pay everything off. However, with the credit crunch and a family to support, it's hard. I just thought i'd ask...
