Organic hair dye

Hi my daughter has been sent home after dyeing her hair red and now we have to get it either back to her natural light brown colour or dye it a as the school has told us "a natural colour". Does anyone know the best way to deal with this as her hair is a bit damaged, someone advised us on a organic hair dye would that be okay to use on damaged hair and if so where can we purchase it from.
Many thanks
