There are a lot of teenage boys birthday parties coming up and I am wondering what to buy them for less then a fiver. Any ideas?

Chuck a fiver in a card and let them get what they want.
Imagine that the receiver will have lots of cards with money so they can get the computer game they want, footie strip they want etc....
You adding to what they want, rather than get them something they have to thank you for but will never use because it's not their thing.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -

All my teenage boy friends/relatives have wanted more expensive things they can get themselves, so money would go down better I think.
Unless you know them well then you can get something a bit more personal.
Vouchers can look more thoughtful than money too, even in small denominations - how about an amazon voucher towards a CD or DVD if they like music/films, sports shop voucher if they are sporty, voucher for Game or Gamestation if they like games etc (although amazon would do this too!)I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
I try to add things to money gifts: it's easier for girls because I can pop in a little something from Boots like emery boards, but for lads a notebook or funky pencil is the best I can manage!

My two eldest boys are 15 and 12 and both really appreciate getting money.
You could throw in a big bar of chocolate that you can get for about a £1 if you want to give them something to unwrap.
I suppose you could wrap the five pound note around the chocolate bar and wrap it all up together.Money SPENDING Expert0 -

I have done a couple of movie hampers for this age group - cheap DVD (plenty on the market at £1-£3), add popcorn, chocolate and coke.0
