Does anybody know of a “True Cost Mortgage Calculator”
For budgeting I prefer fixed rate mortgages for a so I’m after a calculator that I can put the figures in, loan amount, length of loan, costs, rate etc. and it then tell me that after 2, 3, 5, 10yrs etc. I have paid “X” amount and still owe “Y” amount.
I'm aware of plenty of calculators that will tell me “How much I can borrow” or “Cost per month” but I can’t find one that gives the results like you get on the back of the illustrations from a Mortgage advisor.
Thanks

If you have Microsoft Excel on your computer, you can download the amortization spreadsheet from Microsoft

I'm currently working on a heavily edited version of this that takes a lot more into account, changing interest rates, offsetting / overpaying etc but this should give you the basic info you need.My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730 -
I use
www.whatsthecost.co.uk
Most calculation you want or need can be done,
The details button shows the breakdown month by month for the mortgage.0 -
