    Hi eamd,

I'm back because there must be a solution out there & it'll bug me until its found  .

First thing is if you continue current £250 a month cc payments then by april you'll only owe £ £2,800 :D which means lower interest payments if / when that kicks in - providing you dont switch to another 0 % deal.

Are the loan payments fixed & what's the interest rate on that ?

Cars are a huge pain - mine went into garage to have £150 worth of work done, but came out having cost me £230  & it s going to need a service & mot within 2 months  so I really do sypmpathise with you... would suggest doing 6 month road tax but dont really agree with that as it just cost more in the long term  . Is the insurance spread monthly ? Are you using Quidco ? If you're under 25 have you thought about putting 'oldie' on insurance as a named driver - can lower it by £100 odd .

Dentist are also a pain - recently had to wedge out £160 there too  but like all these things a necessary expense  .

All I know is that these unexpected expenses have sure got me saving up for any future ones.

What would be the interest on the :shhh: consolidation loan ? & how much would it increase your DFD by ?

    Take a seat, I'm on a roll now ...

Rather than renting a whole place to yourselves, would it be possible to rent a room in a shared house ? I know its not perfect but would probably be cheaper & require less furnishing & would probably allow for some saving towards future deposit too.

If you have enough to cover impending expenses could you keep up payments then reconsider in April as to whether :shhh: consolidation is the answer.

I just hate to think of all that 0 % going to waste ;) .

I'll be back if I think of anymore ...

    bye for now
    lula x
