  • I think OH will cancel his Barclaycard, but I'm still debating on whether to keep my egg card with 0% for 12 months to balance transfer abit of his debt to... ?

Is it not possible for him to get an incentive to not cancel? Usually a LOB offer, but if he has any debts on a higher APR it may be worth asking about any BT deals available.

You're quite right - a BT to the same bank won't work. Never realised the figures in your sig were for OH. If mint wasn't at 0% then maybe he could have done BT to that, then mint to a barclaycard.

Do you know when the promotion finishes? It's a nasty APR so the sooner you get rid of it the better. Glad it's moving in the right direction though. Well done.

  • Well I did think that if they could offer a 0% on BT on his now cleared card then he could move the MINT balance over to that one and then transfer another balance from the big barclays card to the mint card. Could then also transfer another balance to the egg card leaving only £1840 on the big barclays. Would get £35 fo fee's but thats nothing compared to the interest being charged at the moment!
