Help with Investment retirement in 4 years.

Hi Folks, Just a quick one, which I would like a bit of feedback, please. I am due to retire in 4 years,
I have a Council pension (Final Salary), which I was in for 27years; which is frozen until I retire in 2012. Also I have my pension now, which I have been paying into for 7years my employer pays 3% of my salary into this, Which is £20,000 pa; There would be about £5000 in this pension now.
[FONT="]I have sold my house and live in a pensioner’s property with my wife I will have roughly £45000 to invest after buying a new car and Holidays etc. any ideas regarding where I could invest this for 4 years? I hope this makes sense?

Glad to be sorting my dept. Before Retirement.
Now Mortgage free and in Council property
