Since 1966, England have played Germany on 19 occasions and come out on top a measly five times. The Germans made Gazza cry in 1990, a nation mourn in 1996 and Keegan quit in 2000.
But you could help restore some balance to this lop-sided contest and help salvage some English pride. FourFourTwo and Subside Sports have teamed up to offer you the opportunity to represent England in a five-a-side knockout tournament at Kickerworld in Berlin.
Organised by the English Football Club Berlin and the Trautmann Foundation, the tournament will feature a team of German legends, including Fredi Bobic, Steffen Freund and Thomas Helmer.
You’ll be flown out to Berlin, put up in a hotel, and kitted out in the new England shirt, before taking to the field to reclaim the spirit of ’66. Once you’ve done this, and hopefully beaten the Germans, you’ll be interviewed by FFT for a feature to be run later this year.
To be in with a chance of winning this great prize, identify the eight English and German legends.
