Salary decrease after bankruptcy

Hi All, been a while since I posted here.
Kinda hoping there may be someone who's been in a similar situation to offer advice before I contact the OR office...again
I went bankrupt in July, but the over the past two months my workload has dropped about 30% making it incredibly difficult to survive every month after payment of bills / OR repayments. Basically I used to get 3k a month income, now its 2k , Rent - 750, OR - £820 and the usual council tax/food etcetc..
So just wondering how best to approach them again..
On a side note I got married as well last month which I dont know if or not it will make and change to my payments to them..(PS. before any asks how i afforded that, it was 30 quid and a few pints in the pub after - probably the worlds cheapest !)
Rgds,
Dave.

get your new budget all ready and contact the OR saying that your circs have changed.
they should be able to ammend any payment order to take account of this.Ready to Go Go!0 -
Hi Dave,
Many, many people have posted on here that the OR is always really friendly and helpful, so don't worry about ringing them.
Do it today and then you won't have to worry anymore.0 -
Congrats on getting married, bet it's made going bankrupt look like a piece of cake (just kidding). When I went bankrupt the OR said if I had trouble paying the IPA, to contact them straight away and they would adjust things. His words were "we are here to help you have a fresh start, not put you back in debt". I have redundancy looming in the New Year (50-50 at the moment), and I've already contacted them to let them know. They were excellent and said to let them them know when/if it happens. They even asked if I was managing the payments okay.0

Well done with the wedding. That is a bit cheaper than having it at the Ice Hotel in Lapland................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
I work at an OR. You should send a letter to the OR with proof of your drop in income ( eg copy last 3 months payslips) and a revised income/outgoings budget. Once the OR receives your letter an examiner (like me!!) will review the income, outgoings and recalulate the surplus, then notify you of the revised figure for the IPA. The IPA can be changed by agreement of the OR without involving the court, unlike the old Income Payments Orders. The sooner you write to them the better, as you will have to keep up with the old payments until the OR send you a new Income Payments Agreement form to sign..i think! Congrats on getting married! made me smile the post that said OR really friendly and helpful...i hope my customers think that about me.

Honestly...I have been reading this board since it started, last summer and over that time I have read MANY posts, and time and time again people say how helpful and nice the OR is. Having said that most people are so nervous, that anything short of a monster is going to be nice! Only joking! It sounds to me like you lot are a nice sort.0
