John Lewis are doing a nice one called the Che-ez has 3.2 megapixels and 2inch screen £49.99 reduced fro £79.99 I think. There is also a cheaper one as well lower spec.
  • Tesco are doing a 5 megapixel camera for about the same price - Premier DS 5080.

Went to JL's to get the che-ez but found that it is only chargeable by USB! Looks a great camera but is very limited by this so hope I haven't persuaded anyone to buy one without knowing this, sorry..

I should say that you can't always go on how many mega pixels a camera has, as the most part is down to the lens it has. I would go for a decent make 3 mega pixel camera over that 5.1 mega pixel, to be honest. Ask on any camera forum, and you'll be told the same (not saying that it wont take good pictures, just not 'as' good). :)
  • I always look to see what optical zoom a camera has. No point in having 5megapixels and some dodgy digital zoom. You need a decent optical zoom.
  • thanks balt!

    bought the one from JL.
    Looks just what we wanted!
can do mini movies with audio and a nice big screen!
I'm happy with the usb charging

    cheers!

Don;t know if this is too late but my brother bought the 5 meg Premier from Tescos (£59 at the time). Totally unusable. Focusing takesan age and images so blurred it looked more like a Rorschach blot.

He returned it first possible chance he got.
