Hi all
I'm struggling to pay my loans and credit cards, and don't know what to do ?
The problem is, I have 2 houses which I let, (on a mortgage) with enough equity (hopefully) to pay my debts, but as we all know houses are not selling at the moment.
I really dont want to stop paying my debts, but feel I will have to. I've asked two loan companies if I can defer payments for six months, to give me chance to sell the houses, but they wouldn't help as I've not missed any payments !!!
Credit cards were used to fix up one house at the end of last year just before it all went t**s up
Work is now slowing up ( I'm self employed in construction) and just don't know what to do

Hi there,
I'm not sure what your best option would be. Are there tennants in your houses just now? Is there rent coming in to cover the mortgages?
It's annoying when companys don't offer to help you until you have missed payments with them. If they are unsecured loans, then you will be able to come to an agreement to pay less with them, but you will probably have to miss a months payment in order for them to listen to you.
I think you should get some sort of advice from either citizens advice or cccs, they'll know best.
Sorry I don't really have any answers. Will bump it back to the top to see if any of the pros on here have any ideas.
Hope it all works out for you!
Take care
