thanks for the heads up on this as i have seen these on the shopping channels. well worth it for those ( like me ) who have problems with baking and the like. i'll b there to get my set as they are costing about £2 on ebay just for the p&p so has to be a bargin.

Thanks, our Poundland only had muffin tins (moulds - sounds a bit odd!), like the sound of an oven glove!

  • my local poundland doesn't have any silicone moulds/tins. are there any at york ??
  • I keep looking in various pound shops in huddersfield but can never find any.
Knowing my luck by the time I get to lidl they will have gone. I think by the time I do manage to get one I'll have spent more on petrol and parking than if I'd bought an expensive one.
Do people camp out on the doorstep of these places? I have the same problem when I try and get the advertised bargins from Tradex. Do you think perhaps staff have first dibs on stuff before opening time or do the stores only realy ever get two of whatever they advertise just to get you in there in the first place?

Lets hope Im in luck Thursday, watch this space.

Yes, people do camp on the doorstep of Lidl when they have the silicone stuff, last time I got there 30 minutes after they opened and every scrap was gone. Manager said that "a little old lady" scooped up a basketful to take back to her retirement home. I ended up buying mine from Ideal World when they did a weekend of free delivery. They are excellent, nothing sticks and I store them squished up in a tupperware box.
  • I thought as much, don't think I'm into money saving seriously enough for that kind of thing. I suppose it's OK if you live near one and have the oppertunity to pop in when youre in the area anyway, but too risky for a special trip.

if you really want them try ebay i have noticed they are on there but the p&p alone is about the £2 mark but still cheaper than what they are bein sold for on tv.
