Buying in the mortgage...

My partner has a property with an outstanding mortgage of 65k. The value of the property is 110k.

I would like to part own the property with her which will reduce the morgage to 27k !!

Because of her 'shady finantial background - ccj etc' I would like the mortgage in my name only and for my partner to keep hold of her 50% of the house..

I would then get a morgage for the 27k. and repay in MYSELF...

Is this possible. - Only reason is if we use my partner on the morgage app I will more than likely not have a mortgage offer !!

  • Its unlikely the mortgage company will agree to your partner being named on the deeds if they are not also involved with the mortgage. A possible solution would be for your partner to get a second charge put on the house but I think you need to seek legal advice
