LLOYDS TSB have deliberatley overdrawn me

Hi,i have a loan with LLOYDS TSB amongst other debts totalling £17000 and i've not been able to pay anything for 2 months now but i've had some help from the CAB and they have written to my creditors offering a nominal payment of £1 pm until i get myself sorted out.I got a letter a couple of weeks ago from LLOYDS TSB saying they were going to take a £25 charge out of my LTSB currenrt account on 2nd September so i emptied my account which only had a few quid in to pay the £1 to my other creditors and i checked my account yesterday to find it was £24.63 DR:mad: and they won't let me close the account until i have paid off the loan.I'm definatley considering going bankrupt now if i can raise the money to do it.

You need to be careful now that your unauthorised overdraft of £24.63 doesn't incur more charges

You knew the charge was coming so I'm not sure why you withdrew the funds, Lloyds won't cancel a charge because the account has no funds in it.
    :p
  • I was advised by the cab to do this

I would speak to the CAB again and see what they advice. I would be worried that further charges will be slapped on now due to being in an unauthorised overdraft

I'm not sure whether Lloyds are good at freezing interest / stopping charges for people in financial difficulty but if they aren't, your OD of £24 could snowball into a bigger debt and that is the last thing you want.
    :p
  • I actually panicked yesterday and paid the £25 off but i spoke to my adviser this morning and he advised me not to pay anything to LTSB until they agree to accept what i offer them.
