  • That is ridiculous, I take it you have rang cs?
I don't really know what to do in these circumstances, pash or broclo may know.
    I would be furious.

yes customer service man was pleasant enough but said it was because of people defrauding the parents club. i do have an old parent club card but dont use it as only has 4.50 on it and they sent me a new one when i had my daughter. apparently hubby is not allowed a card and it is in the terms and conditions online, i didnt know this as would have just put all points onto my card. i thought as he was a parent too he could have a card:confused:
    it really makes no sense.
i feel robbed and to add insult to injury they owe me 500 points for jemma kidd wipes

Unfortunately they have now changed the policy to writing in to profit protection, the CS supervisors are not to comment other than to advise you write in and you can not speak to profit protection on the phone.

This changed literaly days after you had your issues with them, unfortunately they are now taking a harder approach :(

    Awh (((Hugs))))

Hopefully superbroclo will be able to help,Its worrying when we tend to keep a lot of points on our cards.I think I will spend mine more freely as would hate to lose them.

How many of us actually read the terms before we sign up to Ad cards, Clubcards etc.( I know we should!)
Maybe Boots should shoulder part of the blame for accepting the second application for a card:confused::confused::confused:

Surely it is not your responsibility to look up the t&c's online. If you signed up instore and it didn't say anything on acm or leaflet, then surely you have a case. Where did you sign up?
It doesn't make any sense at all, as you are both parents to the child, how are you supposed to know?
I feel really sorry for you especially if you were saving up the points, I would complain that it is them in actual fact who owe you points.:o
Hope you get your points back and I am sure everyone else does too.

I agree, it is like the other night we were talking about the mags and how you are only meant to get one then pay for the others but the till refuses payment.
Surely it is boots job to vet tha applications and reject them if it doesn't meet t&c's, rather than saying months later and taking away your card points.

On the Ts and Cs it says
"Multiple applications for the same child are not permitted

When I first started bootsing many people had cards for their cat ,dog ,hamster etc all with associated offsring for the PC club!
    (was never tempted myself!)
    card?

Some people count their dog as their child :p

Pretty good bootsing haul for me & SKMS Snr!

Store didn't have very good perfume reductions - just lots of reduced body lotions/shower gels.

I'm very jealous of the poster who managed to get Rock&Rose Valentino for £10 - I paid £30 odd for this at the airport few months ago! If anyone spots any in london & herts please let me know.

Hope everyone had a good bootsing day! off for a cup of tea now :D
  • just sent a very long and lengthy complaint email to boots.....don't know if this was the right thing to do, but am so fed up, i thought why not :o

Mrs BB, oh how things like that can knock your confidence and make you want to throw in the towel but for what it's worth I think you are right to persue it, customer services are there to help you in exactly these circumstances.

I've only ever contacted CS once, re an allergic reaction my DD had to a No7 mascara which had required treatment from our GP and to be honest I felt as if my concerns weren't being taken seriously. The guy on the phone was really patronising and told me that my complaint was the first they had received about the product (big lie, many MSE'ers had complained about the same product to CS) and said that I didn't really have grounds for complaint as the mascara was part of a free gift with purchase and I should just throw it away.
I was pretty annoyed as I didn't see what the product being part of a GWP had to do with anything, I was reporting a problem with a Boots product and he just didn't want to know. I came off the phone feeling very cross and frustrated at his attitude.
The next day I packed up the mascara and wrote a covering letter to CS with details of the allergy and sent it off to the address on the back of the Boots receipt. Their attitude couldn't have been more different, within 3 days they had written back with a very detailed reply, offered to send samples of individual ingredients to our GP for allergy testing on request, explained a little about the allergy database they kept on all the products they sell, wished DD a speedy recovery and sent her a gift card to cover the cost of replacing the mascara several times over which was a nice bonus.

I do hope CS do reply to your email, if they don't then I'm sure you will receive a reply if you write a letter and put it in the post.

You know what Mrs BB, give it a year or two into your nurse training and I'm certain you'll find it a lot easier to be assertive with difficult people, it takes a bit of practice but you can do it, well done to you for not letting this go. Hugs to you and remember, Illegitimi Non Carborundum :p
