Hey everyone, hope all are ok
I hope you can all understand where I am coming from with what I am about to say and that I don't get abused lol, I can totally see the arguement from both sides but here goes...I have noticed a few people commenting on how SA's in their Boots have been stressing them out and not being willing to put your bargains through the tills...Although when this happens it can be irritating to all, I can see why they would do it...
I myself am an SA, not for Boots, but where I deal with a lot of customers each shift and me and my collegues do feel that some of them are there to annoy us, and they do! We have glitches and offers as stores do, but it is ultimately down to us to correct these errors and bring them to the attention of management. We all like a good bargain here but at the end of the day, as SA's if there are problems that we don't bring to light, when they do get found out, there is always someone to blame, 9 times out of 10 the wrong person and that is how a lot of stores operate, so even though the money we save isn't coming out of the SA's wages in Boots, they still have their responsibility of making sure glitches do not get abused.
Having been a follower of this thread for sometime, albeit a lurker lately the time I haven't been devoting to it lol, I do believe that the people on here that do follow are all genuine people and genuine bargain hunters. On thing that annoys me at work is greed, when there is a special offer on something and people seem to clear the shelves! Great for the store, the promotions are there for a reason, but when you have to reorder and restock more of the same stuff, and you always have customers insinuating it is your fault it is out of stock, it makes your job a lot harder which I think to some degree Boots staff do experience on a day to day basis much like anyone else working in that environment...Not only that, everyone loses out when there are no cheap Time Delay products to spend our till spits on and as other users have witnessed, think it was Belle(?) with the baby changing bags, someone beat her to it and was purely buying them to flog on ebay. Yes some people have to make a living but at the same time everyone loves a bargain and I think to purely buy something to put on ebay is not right (just my opinion).
This is really starting to sound like a rant now, but I, like everyone else have experienced a 'Dragon SA' but then thinking about it, they are paid to do a job. At the end of the day, if someone asks me to reduce something, our policy is that we don't do it if asked, however on the occasion that we do, there is no way I'll do it as much as I could, because then they'll find the next product and come back expecting us to do that one as well, before you know it they've worked out your shift patten and because they know you will do it, they come back each an every time. I can see how some SA's in Boots would get annoyed with this, and if I had customers coming to my till wanting to do 10 transactions of the TS glitch and get 20 products for 10p I wouldn't let it happen because someone will get the blame, and I think that is just greed because then they'll move onto the next SA, I've seen it happen before and I don't agree with it at all...
Despite all this, SA's have no right to talk to customers the way that some of them do, I've had bad experiences with some, and I wouldn't dream of talking to customers like sh*t because I'm not that type of person and I wouldn't like to be treated that way either. Large stores like Boots generally do have a good customer service you can call up to complain, and I urge everyone that is mistreated to call. I hate the idea of being called a dragon SA, mainly because I'm not, and I treat people as I would like to be treated. I can see why they would get annoyed but staff that cannot move on from a previous situation should not work in retail, there are always going to be awkward customers but they need to be able to move onto the next customer in a positive mood as hard as it is sometimes...
Basically what I am trying to say is that I can understand the frustration from both sides, although the glitches don't come out of their wage packet, they are under instructions of what not to accept, staff that are looking for promotion tend to be the ones that are concerned about how profitable the store is...I know there have been occasions in the past when people have complained for minor things happening in their Boots stores, but I do urge that anyone feeling like they are being spoken to in a way they shouldn't be as consumers, they should complain, I've never had reason to call CS, but if I was spoken to like some posters on here have been I would be straight on the phone to CS, I don't see why anyone should be put off shopping somewhere, I can see how it happens, but you shouldn't be made to feel that way...
I hope this helps people understand more about SA's, I know most of us have been there and done that at some stage, but after thinking about how frustrating it is for them aswell I've changed the way I shop in Boots, they are there to do a job at the end of the day, that is what they are paid to do and in order to keep their job they have to follow certain rules, sometimes I do think f*ck it lets reduce the stock that needs to go by 90% to get rid of it, but there is always at least one that wants it at 95% and that type of people annoy me and are ultimately ruining bargains for the rest of us!
Wow, I am glad I have expressed my opinion on this and I really hope that I'm not a dragon SA lol, even more than that I hope I have not upset or offended anyone in any way, it just my opinion on why some people have nightmare Boots shops...And I'm not saying that anyone of us abuses the glitches, we certainly wouldn't post about it if we did in fear of being that *username* from *store name* who keeps clearing them out of TS Serum/TD wipes/Mitchum lol...Hope you are all well!
Sorry for such a long post!

I'm sure that practically everyone agrees with you and most of us understand that SA's have a job to do and have no problem whatsoever when a SA denies our glitch, it is just the way they can speak to us when they refuse it...think of the people who have had SA's mutter things like 'thief or 'crafty' under their breath etc and the people who are refused to use vouchers despite items not being excluded on the terms etc.
When we encounter a 'dragon' SA we only moan about not getting our glitch due to the way we are treated, not because we are refused the glitch
Good points though :T0 -
hi hun it has to be the pink long hair serum at £6.99 for you to get it for 1p
Thanks ikkle87, if the offer is still on, I may try at my local tomorrow with my last coupon.
I cannot remember which serum I tried - I know it was mainly opaque white bottle, but the only shampoo they had was TS Long Hair rebuilds shine - for naturally curly or permed hair (pink one) they had none of the blue one ( for straight hair?) left, so is that where I went wrong.
Also, the rejuvenating Conditioner I got was the pink/lilac one for Mature Hair - moisturising, although I know I saw another rejuvinating conditioner, but didn't know which to try.;)0 -
Stoopid as long as you get the pink long hair serum for £6.99 you can have ANY other TS product and it will only cost 1p.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Definitely agree with you on the bit about some of their attitudes, even if they do think it they have absolutely no right to say it, if something like that happened where I work there are strict policies and you would get a warning, may be a verbal warning depending on the word used, 3 strikes and you're out...Another thing it comes down to is what manager they have in, my manager annoys everyone and seems to find it fun being my shadow following me around everywhere like I lost dog (puppies are cute, he isn't lol)...I think a lot of SA's that have this attitude are only missing out themselves really, they can see the products and the till screen, they put through the transaction and take whatever vouchers for it and see the final price to pay...The glitch is right infront of their eyes! Now as much as I love this thread I think it would be so much easier watching someone else doing it and then repeating the transaction in my own time lol :rotfl:
On the back of this post I would also like to reinforce that I'm not intending to insult anyone on here...There are two types of people on here, ones that have joined to save moneywhich I can safely say are pretty much all of us, and ones that have joined to make money  , you can find them selling PC vouchers on ebay whereas most would offer for swaps, the price of a stamp or even free...Think I have figured out why there are over 100 pages already!
