Don't the boots stores mind when you take perfume back and repurchase? Mine get very funny when I return one single item, which I have only done once because couldn't stand them thinking I return things to keep points, etc.

I was very upfront & said that DD did not got to the ACM & put them all through at once rather that seperately so I only got 1 of each voucher.
She did remove yesterdays points but then added them back plus some once the sinlge sale transactions went through.

    EDIT: OFF TOPIC!
    aureol212 wrote: »
Thanks Geordie_Lass. Daddy does show DS how to be a boy when going to toilet, and he is fascinated by it. Problem we have is DS hates wearing his nappy, he has actually learnt to pull off tags and then crawl out of nappy, if I don't put a vest on. He also scratches himself really badly when we take his nappy off, as if it irritates him, and I have tried all brands.

We thought we would try the potty and see if he takes to it, then he can come out of nappies. I try and leave his nappy off a few times a day and just clean up any mess he makes. If he doesn't, then will carry on using nappies but just wanted him to stop being uncomfortable.

Did you find when your children were teething they dribbled all over your carpet so it felt wet wherever you walked? Trying to work out if DS is dribbling saliva or we have a problem with damp in carpets.

Oh I get it now lol...sorry!

My DS did dribble alot, he had all his teeth by 15 months, thankfully it was all over quickly. It does seem extreme that it is making your carpet feel damp though! Do you think maybe it is the cleaning water coming up later? I know when I shampoo my carpet from all the peeing that it dries out and then between 2-6 hrs later it seems to rise to the surface later on and feels damp again...so could be that? Given up with my carpet, will just have to replace it when I decide to leave

Have exactally same issue with my DS son 16months. HV says way to early to potty train, he can't reach toilet etc so am trying potty. He is refusing to use it for its purpose and finds it is simply a nice place to put 'mummy's things'(so suppose I should be glad he does not use it :rotfl: ). But I'm trying my best to catch what I can.

I think if at such a young age they associate the nappy with causing discomfort (my DS seems allergic to all nappies especially the hard tags, but huggies natural fit are not as bad) that they will refuse to wear them and so the vest does help, my DS tears himself to pieces too and has had marks from the nappy that were that bad(almost looked like burns or pressure marks) that his HV seems to think I'm some sort of child abuser  .

Think the best you can do is try let him have nappy free time for a few hours so he can breathe down there and don't pin your hopes on training him as your DS is younger than mine and really think we have very little chance of them getting dry anytime soon  As for creams...had 4 from doc/HV and tried about 6 others and ordered 2 from internet...none make a bit of difference and my DS will actually bleed at times and the only real healing comes from plenty of fresh air

As for you carpet...some kind soul on here said about surgical spirit(really annoyed I can not remember who!)...pop a capful in your cleaning water and it really does help get rid of the smell quite well!

Sorry, just realised this a HUGE post :o

Try masking tape...a couple of rounds of this right round the nappy defeats most kids! My son used to do the whole striptease bit at night, then soak the bed. Short of actually sewing him into his clothes .....well, the tape trick works, lol.
    Brill idea :T

Some on list for tommorow...I have 6 sets of bedding for DS and it is not enough and was wondering what on earth I was going to do when weather is too nasty to dry the linen and bloomin matress

I think you may have just saved me alot of stress....ooooo I luv ya :j
