PaP/Moozie's What will you spend/have you spent today Wednesday 3rd September thread

Good morning everybody :hello: :hello: :hello:

It is not really the nicest of days down here - grey, overcast but not actually raining - at the moment. Certainly looks as though Autumn has 'snuck in' with a vengeance this year.

Anyway - I am spending the morning 'near the computer' as I am waiting for an update on my job interview from the other Friday

So - it should be no spending - this morning at least, for me. Am also, dutifully  , starting off today's 'Spending Thread'. :D:D

Please join in, whether you're a regular, newbie or just a 'serial lurker' - it really is quite simple just post your daily spends, budgetted or not, and stick with it, to watch your spending habits change. :):)

That really is how 'simple' it is - you get no actual 'prizes', just a few 'thanks' and acres of encouragement, but the long-term rewards are great. :T

And it's all due to those three little word's from 'moozie' - the original founder of this thread:

'Keep it Low'moozie

And have a great day

    Hello

Yesterday's post seems to have disappeared - probably a good thing as I was whinging about unneeded spending.

Yesterday was a NSD and so will today. There are 2 budgeted costs - one a bill and one for a course at the local FE but as they cannot be described as frivolous I am not counting them!

    Have a good day all!

Hi Peb - I 'wondered' why you didn't post yesterday - that explains it.

Well done on the NSD. :T

Thanks, peb - ASDA continue to be 'pains in posterior' as you so succinctly put it.
I did put in about a dozen on-line applications, of which only two got more than a 'thanks but no thanks' reply. This particular job was one of those and I got a really good feeling about it. My first interview was almost one month ago now, and was conducted by the Management Consultancy company who are acting for the actual recruiter. My second interview, with the General Manager of the Company, was on the 22nd of August. Both interviews went, at least in my opinion, very well and, at my last interview I was told that a decision would be made within 10 days. Today I have received an apologetic Email stating that they are running late and hope to make a decision by the end of this week.
I can't fault the girls from the Management Consultancy - they are going out of their way to 'update' me. The GM was a really 'decent' sort of chap - very down to earth, affable but obviously a 'hard grafter' - in fact just the sort of person I could work with. Both interviews have been extremely 'professional' and I really do feel that I could not have done any more. If I don't get offered a job I will, of course, be disappointed, but it will genuinely be because the competition is so good, so it won't be the end of the world.
It's just the waiting that annoys me.

I ought to be used to that by now.

Well I tried to 'encourage' more chocolate today but it appears everyone has got wise to me and is pretending to be on a diet (although I notice they keep disappearing under their desks and I'm sure it's for a sneaky bite of choccie). So I had to buy my own - 45p worth:mad:

Next week I'll buy double amount of chocolate with my weekly shop so I can bring extra in to work each day.........or I could go on a diet I suppose:confused: ...Nah I'll buy double;)

Hi pbr - would you believe me if I said 'None' as that is the truth - there genuinely is no chocolate in the house.

Mind you - am sorely tempted to cycle the couple of mles up to ASDA, armed with my 24p for a 100 gramme bar of the old 'Smart Price' roll-back Milk Chocolate.
