bought one from aldi last year for £19.99 and have been very happy with it.

    a great price at £14.99
  • I saw that sainsburys were selling Labtec ones, it wasn't a set but it was £10 each for a wirless mouse and keyboard. Though the keyboard didn't stand out as bing "wireless".

The creative ones look good, but my only prob is that it would take up one of my usb ports - is that the same with all these things?
  • I also got one from Aldi last year for £19.99, very happy with mine, no problems at all. The keyboard is still on the original batterys too, although the mouse goes through them pretty quick. I use 2000ma NiMH batterys in the mouse now, usually last about two weeks before needing to be recharged.

  • Thats a good price hub cos whilst on the lookout today cheapest i found was a £20 one from dixons or £30 belkin one from staples. Assume a hub is a hub? Will have to check aldi's out, i thought pc world were doing a set for £15 another thread on here i think.

If you can't get to an Aldi for a usb hub I got a neat little one is Asda for a tenner too and also Tesco sell them.

Regarding the cordless keyboard and mouse sets, check that the mouse is an optical one as some are not where the Aldi one is.

Thanks, not sure wher ethe local aldi is, will check out asda also. No idea what optical means but assume that its more precise and no more faffing about, also means less wires which is always good.
  • I am beginning to kid myself that I am an expert here but an optical mouse means no ball in the base which allows the dirt in ;D

tip for Aldi if you find one for Thursday, go early as there are always queues when its pc stuff
