Dear MSEs,
AM thinking of getting a digital camcorder and Which? magazines advises in favour of the Sony DCR109e which I found at 450 on Ebuyer. Come on folks can you beat that with some of your gimmick?
ALSO,
Browsing around I looked up the bigger brother the PC DCR 350, which e-retails around 750. When looked up on one a US site, it was retailing close to 580...
Is there a difference in standard when it comes down to MINIDV technology?

IIRC, there are issues with PAL vs NTSC formats on EU vs US versions of camcorders. Then there is import duty and warranty to worry about, so I deemed it not worth it to buy from overseas.
I used his pricematch tip and bought from Jessops when they price matched against the lowest online price I could find for my Sony DCR HC40.
