emusic.com is crap, rubbish music you've never heard of. You'll struggle to find enough decent songs to fill your free allocation. I should know, I subscribed a few months ago.FREEBIES/WINS SO FAR: Urban cricket set, 10 perfumes, ring-sizer, toilet 'hippo' water saver, 3xWii remote jackets, various music downloads,

You can now get 35 free songs and 1 audiobook from www.emusic.com/lovefilm.
You have to sign up for a 14 day free trial with your card details but you can cancel straight after your downloads are up with no charge, just don't go over 35 songs. I downloaded 3 albums and canceled straight after.
The cancel part is in "Your Account" under "Cancel Music" and I'm sure there's a "Cancel Audiobook" if you sign up for that bit but I didn't so don't quote me on that.
Gaz.

I have signed up with emusic in the past - found their choices are a bit limited but for 35 free tracks, it's not bad.
Just a hint to anyone who does sign up, keep a close eye on how many tracks you download - once you go over the 35 it does not alert you, simply charges you for whatever deal you've signed up to, so you are tied in for a month. You can cancel immediately, but will be forced to pay the 1st month.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Warning: I cancelled my eMusic subscription without having made any downloads whatsoever, and within the 'Free Trial Period', and I got charged £8.99. Nine months later I'm still being charged, and to add insult to injury, they increased the charge by £2 in June. All up I've been charged £93.30 for a service I've not used, and I can't contact a human to cancel the account and get a refund. I've tried the website and email without success, so user beware!0

I too have suffered unexpectedly at the hands of Emusic.com. I signed up for a free trial a week or so ago and was told that my credit card details were being taken purely for identification purposes.
Now, having downloaded one free track and still within my free trial, I have been charged £17.99 for a music and audiobook subscription.
They are an American company and a simple Google search of the term 'Emusic.com fraud' or similar will turn up responses from hundreds of other disgruntled "customers"who have faced the same problems.
Also, it seems that Emusic.com are less than reluctant to respond to these issues, in fact they tend to keep on charging you whilst ignoring you.
Emusic.com itself isn't even that good a site for downloading music in my opinion. And its audiobooks section is pretty dire.
Just thought I would bring this to the attention of the community here! :mad:0 -

If that's through a direct debit you can cancel it directly with your bank - and if they're not contacting you at all, you are unlikely to have any problems- if they do you might finally get your claim taken seriously.0
