Boots Advantage Card freebies

Accordingly, yesterday in Boots in Manchester I had a 10 minute wait to use the one Advantage machine that was working in the store, but it now does look very suspicious!
I don't ever get any interesting offers, I look out on here for what folk are getting and the best I can hope for is entering competitions and a 25 points meal deal voucher, or stuff like nappies (not even got any children!!). Mind you I have got about £40 on my card and I won't redeem it - have been saving up all year as it comes in handy at Xmas time...tight swines probably have all this sussed, of course!0 -

Could be that the power of this board has made the company pull the plug on the freebies

I've had two lots of Lotus tissues, and two lots of pantyliners so far - I'm happy to stash them on the top cupboard shelf until I need them! Although, the funny thing is, now I've been taking Mr Boots up on his kind offer, the Adv Point machine has stopped giving me any total spend vouchers

I tried today, but when I put my card in the Machine in Milton Keynes Boots, it ate my card and I had to get an assistant to get it out!
Not much luck for me! I daren't try it again.

my OH finally had a free tony and guy/trevor sorbie mini today. i have never had one. however, i got a voucher for 250 free points with and trevor sorbie/tony and guy product [excl minis]. OH chose a detox shampoo mini, and i paid for all our stuff, and left my voucher for points in with the others i'd got, but forgot to get a product. the assistant said she would try it anyway, and it worked. :rotfl:
so he got a free shampoo worth 1.55, and i got 250 points.0 -
I have 4 cards but our local Boots is very small and split over 2 stores so has two machines. last Saturday one of the cards produced a free pack of pantliners and the toothpaste points coupons.
Use the cards again in the big Boots in Chester, didnt try all of the machines because husbands patience was tried already LOL One card produced the free tissues.
All the cards had the evening primrose, alternative medicine and everyday indulgence points vouchers though.

i never get free products but today i got a few things for better than free using the advantage machine:
100 points for buying oil of evening primrose skincare - the skincare is generally more than £1.99 but you also get the points for the rest of the range. shower gel is 99p and you get 100 points for that. i've also got some talc for £1.29 and bubble bath for £1.49. not free, but cheap if you want to make up a collection for a present.
200 points for buying anything in the alternatives range - i bought decongestant oil for £1.99 so 1p profit on that too. there was also some vapour rub for babies at £1.49 so 51p profit on that, and indigestion tablets at £1.49 so 51p profit on those too. there are acne treatments at £1.99 each (spot gel and spot stick) and i also saw some slumber cones but i forget the price. they're plasters with a little pressure point, thought to help you sleep.
the best one is the first aid kit - voucher says 500 points when you buy the family first aid kit. the only family one i could see cost £19.99 but i thought i'd try it on cheaper kits. i picked up a travel kit for £3.89 and i was given 500 points on it!
i also got some sinus tablets, just paracetamol and decongestant, boots own brand reduced to 99p and there was a 50 point voucher for those.
it's triple points if you spend £15 at the moment. i don't know if you could buy more than one of each offer in the same transaction and get points for them all though, i was buying other stuff and i just added things from the above offers to each transaction. can't decinde if it's worth buying more than i actually need just to get the points or not.52% tight0 -
I was lucky enough to get freebie-wise:
A voucher for a pack of pantyliners (hidden on the shelf so they were obviously hoping that no-one would find them)
A voucher for a free mini Trevor Sorbie or Toni & Guy haircare product (worth £1.59)... that was very useful stocking filler-wise
