I'm in chrome now, too.
Just checked and scrolling up and down with the mouse wheel works fine for me. My brother just noticed that each tab of chrome uses about 20 to 28mb RAM each, but I don't notice my computer being any slower. I think the RAM usage is worth it, though, for having a tab-centered browser, and it looks like no matter how many tabs you open, it never goes over using about 50 or 60mb.
I love not having all those toolbars everywhere, though! Chrome devotes so much more space to the actual web pages. It's not cluttered or boxy and I feel like my monitor just grew an inch bigger on each side.
i really like the sense of space too.
don't know why i can't scroll up with the mouse wheel, guess i'll have to google it :rotfl:
pages definitely seem to load noticeably faster for me though (present website excluded of course!)0 -
i've noticed that the animated smilies are more slowly animated than in firefox too. is that just me as well?
:rotfl: :T  :j0 -
:P Yeah, don't know what it could be from. My husband just checked on his comp and the scrolling worked fine for him, too. He's a bit disappointed that you can't click the scroll wheel, then move the mouse up and down at different speeds to scroll, like you can in Firefox. But, the browser's been released for about an hour, and at the moment I think they've done an awesome job. Can't believe how fast everything's loading. Just went back into firefox to test some stuff out, and it actually felt noticeably slower!0

The rolling and clapping ones are slower for me, too, though the other two seem about the same in both browsers. Do you think google got annoyed with super-fast eye-catching animations on the internet so they slowed a few down intentionally? :P0

This is the first Google product I'm not impressed with, it's too basic. I use adblocker on Firefox but Google can't exactly implement adblocking functions in their brower can they? They'd kill their own Google Ads!0

Don't like it, don't use it.
TBH the speed it loads pages, as well as stuff like the V8, the task magr, so much in chrome that looks to make it as stable as possible outweighs a few ads I ignore anyway.
Going to be interesting browser battle now though
