Remove marker pen from photo

I saw a tip on the tv a few weeks ago about removing marker pen from a wedding photo, did anyone see it???

Really need to get pen off a piccie.

Please someone HELP!!!!!

I don't know about removing it from the original but I would have thought it possible to scan the original to your PC then edit the marker out using a photo package and have the photo printed again. If you are not confident to do it yourself you may find a local photographer who can do it for you. I know there are a few places around here that advertise photo repairs.

Please dont try this without testing a corner first.
My children scribbled all over a photo of my niece & nephew. I concluded it was ruined anyway so whatever i did next wasnt going to affect things. But after a bit of trial & error I found that spraying hairspray on the photo then wiping off with a clean dry cloth removes most ink from a photo. make sure you wait a while between applications or it gets sticky.
