Asda Advice

Options
Just discovered that Asda have started doing deliveries in my area :j (store is about 40 mins away so I rarely go there) I normally have Tesco delivery but thinking I'll give Asda a bash. Was planning to do my next order through MySupermarket.com to see what the differences are but whats your advice? Whats the must-have, best bargain, cheap as chips products that Asda do that Tesco don't. Also whats to be avoided at all costs? I have a few Tesco value products but don't want to make a major mistake buying something cheap and nasty from Asda, I want cheap and cheerful!

Thanks

Be care using mysupermarket, I find that if i put shopping in from Tesco it says tesco is cheaper than asda and visa versa.
I think it compares heniz to heinz but not value to smart price- might be wrong.

Never had anything smart price that never got eaten!
  • My local tesco have stopped selling value sardines (17p a tin), but Asda still sell their smart price sardines for the same price. If you use them this may be an idea?
AFAIK tesco have stopped selling several items in their value range. It could be Asda still sell these in their SP range.

    It's only a game

  • if you look in the newsagent section of the online shopping you can put a free asda mag in your trolley.
Also take a peek at the voucher board for free delivery codes

    Hi Bunny,

As this is more of a shopping thread I've moved it over to the Shop but Don't Drop board where the shopping experts post.

My fave thing about Asda is they do not charge extra for substitutions, so i often get expensive fish or prawns for the same price as smart price stuff!:)

  • I use Asda as it always comes out much much cheaper than the others on My Supermarket - don't forget to register with Ipoints too then go to My Supermarket!!

I haven't bought much SP items but have had a few - those i have had i havent been disapointed with.

Is there any items in particular that you buy Value?
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
