Hello everyone,
I'm posting this on behalf of a lady I was speaking to today as she doesn't have t'internet.
Basically, she's retired, skint and desperately needs to find some work she can do working in her home.
Years ago she used to construct powder puffs at home and get paid for that but I told her I didn't think there was much work about of that sort anymore.
She wants to work with her hands. She's rather a shy person and doesn't socialise much.
I know it's a long shot but I said I'd try and help her - anyone got any ideas please??

Hi,
What about contacting Help The Aged. I doubt if this lady is the only skint OAP, so they may have heard of approriate job avenues, they may also do a benefits check to make sure this lady is getting all of the benefits she is entitled to.0 -

I would recommend looking at the Boost your Income segment of the main site, to see if any of the suggestions are applicable to you friend. It has some ideas that might work from her:
BABYSITTING
IRONING SERVICE
DOG WALKING/PET MINDING
MARKET RESEARCH (being part of a focus group - saros)
?SEWING (alterations/curtain making)
I wish you luck.0 -

There is quite a useful book called "a bit on the side" by Jasmine Birtles - that has quite a lot of suggestions for working at home in it.“Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, I love money.”0

Bingo ? OAP's always seem to win at that !!0

I don't get it, is being in debt or not having enough cash to survive suddenly funny if you are over 65? oh well, maybe it's just me
anyway, I remember seeing someone suggest an idea of making money by sitting in waiting for deliveries. That might be possibility for your friendLindsayO
