!!!!!! before CC company sells debt to DCA?

Hi guys

On a DMP with CCCS and have been for almost 2 years. Today I have had a default notice from Capital One aasking me to cancel DMP or they will pass to DCA and full amount will become due?! Seems strange to me as I obviously cant afford to pay it all.

anyway, they are actually one of my lowest balances, I only owe them £474 so wondered if I can cobble together say £200 (thinking ebay, mystery shops, cashback sites due to pay out in Oct) is it worth offering a !!!!!! before they sell it to the DCA (not sure how much they will get for it from DCA?)

But also, I'm sure its in my agreement with CCCS that I'm not allowed to deal with any creditor outside of my plan? Is this true? If it is I am completely stuck!!!

Hi mbaz,

I got the same default notice last week, then today heard through Payplan that Capital One have accepted a reduction in our DMP payment .

I think bottoms and elbows is the appropriate phrase :rotfl: .

I've filed mine with my paperwork and if they sell to a DCA I'm sure Payplan (or CCCS) can arrange for the same payment plans to continue.

The funny thing is 2 years ago it was Capital One that recommended I go to CCCS!!! lol
