My ex has just been made bankrupt by Luton Borough Council for under 4k! (non payment of council tax) He has a mortgage and good equity in his flat however his debts total 10k which he needs to find the money for. I want to help but not sure the best way for him to do this. His parents have paid their mortgage. He has spoken to the BS and they have said that they will lend him money against his flat. So...could his parents borrow 10k against their house and then once the bankruptcy is dissolved borrow the money against his mortgage to pay them back?
