TV programme about foraging for fruit

I'm just watching a programme on the BBC about foraging for fruit which is then passed on free of charge to the local community, but I can't seem to track anyone down to ask questions. As I have a glut of figs rotting on the tree (I can't abide them!) I would be interested in getting in touch with any such scheme as they can take whatever they can pick..any suggestions where to start looking?

Have you thought about joining your local freecycle group (a group that gives away things they no longer want/need). I'm always seeing 'posts' for fruit/veg giveaways. Wish I lived near you ! lol

It was just the BBC breakfast news, I'm just trying to track it down via their website now.
