  • I recommend that you shop around. They wanted to charge me £1500 for a bookkeeping course and I have found other places doing the same courses for £500.....So beware of them
  • You need to make sure it is a nationally recognised qualification and who the awarding body is. All recognised qualifications are set fom Level 1 to 5

    Level 1 = Foundations
    Level 2 = GCSE/NVQ 2
    Level 3 = A Level/NVQ 3
    Level 4 = HND/NVQ Level 4
    Level 5 = I think it is a degree!

Although qualifications can be the same level it may not be considered equal as some Level 3 courses can be 100 hours of study while A Levels are usually 700 hours with multiple exams.

I have done a few through www.distance-learning-centre.co.uk who have been pretty good and are reasnable in price.

I would definietly shop around as you will see the same courses on different websites with a great difference in price.

Courses approved by ASET are recognised qualifications. I have nearly finished one for Wedding Planning, when I had a few problems with one of the tutors I contacted ASET to ascertain whether the course was being run correctly and whether or not the qualification was real - on checking with other people in the wedding industry, I have found that the diploma is in fact recognised worldwide.

    Hello,

I have recently signed up with the Open University and although I work 30 hours a week, I also get tax credits. I still qualified for full financial help for fees and a study grant.

I would recommend them to anyone, I have no problems with them and start my first course next month towards getting my Bachelor of Law.

Also I must add there customer service is spot on! :T
