Can anyone tell me how to 'press' a flower, without a kit please?
My son got married yesterday and I would like to press his buttonhole and one from brides bouquet (both Roses), as keepsakes.
I know you can buy flower presses, but as I didn't and they are already showing signs of wilting.......................... does anyone out there know what I can do with them today to keep them for mementos?

Take everything off it such as the tin foil it's wrapped in, the pin and any leaves you don't want on it. Get 2 sheets of blotting paper and lay the flowers out in the position you want on one sheet and then lay the other sheet on the top. Then put it on top of a book and lay lots of books and heavy items on the top. Every so often when you walk past press down on it with your hands. After about a week take a look at it and if it, if it doesnt look OK leave it for another couple of days and so on until it looks how you want it.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
