Hi I also have a silver cross pop (3rd pushchair not sure why we need 3 but all 3 get used) The pop is fantastic aswell as very ligthweight.samantham06 wrote: »I would be wary of the nipper buggy- as it weighs 8kg, which may not seem like a lot, but when you are lifting it in and out of cars alone can be tricky!
Also you wouldnt be able to hang bags on the handle. Major Problem
Obviously its up to you.... but I would recommend silver cross,
I have a silver cross pop pushhair, and I love it! Its lightweight, stylish, and practical. Its suitable from birth until walking.
It costs around £100.00, and doesnt look cheap like alot of pushchairs can (even if they are not!)
I had a 3 wheeled travel system like this one before, and found it too big, heavy and it took up too much space in my home. So we gave it away and got the silver cross.
HTH
p.s ... Baby bargains.. does anyone know of a reasonably priced furniture nursery set please??
However just to clarify that even if you bought the above pushchair you could still put shopping bags on the handles if you bought the pram clips from mothercare they are £1.49 for 2 and it is one of the best things I ever bought. I first bought them almost 6 years ago for my son and they are still going strong with my daughter who is now 16 months old! Definately worth the money and fantastic for those prams that have a full handle rather than 2 seperate ones.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Thanks for the suggestions, it's always nice to have recommendations from other mums. I think I will go and look at the POP.0

Have found this site selling 1/2 price SkipHop bags and the cheapest Cuddledry baby towels. Wished I'd found it before I spent £28 on mine. The best thing I ever bought was the Cuddledry towel
They are here for £20 delivered
Thanks for this. Placed an order for a cuddledry towel on Friday and it was here on Monday. :j0 -

Maybe a little late now but I saw lots of baby bits( and toys) in my local boots at 75% off, some a bit more than that too. They had loads of stuff, pram sheets, cot sheets, basket sheets, mats/ gyms, pushchairs, all in one travel systems, potties, changing mats, baby on board signs, hip carriers, slings, to name but a few - all was soooooooooooooo cheap but was going back a week almost now and my store is practically empty!!! I picked up loads including a !!!!ury buggy in pink for £10, was £40 so will keep as a spare in case its needed :-)
Not sure if its all boots but many of my nearest stroes have had it. HTH and sorry if its too late a mention on here!!0 -
Best head down to Boots. They tend to do this every year around this time to clear the shelves for Christmas gifts. You get some good bargains but it's impossible to buy most baby essentials from now on as they have sold everything off. I know Christmas is their busy time of the year but it's so annoying they take all the baby things away (they do in my local store) - sorry rant over.0

That would explain why they had so few baby things in my local Boots today then! (Peterborough). They did have some good baby toys in the sale though with 50% off the Baby Einstein stuff and a several Fisher Price baby toys too. There were lots of toys for older kids too but I didn't pay much attention to them!
I'm expecting my first baby the start of December so maybe I'd better stock up on what I can while they still have it!0 -
