Mortgage & IVA

Hello,
Just wanted some opinions on my chances of getting a mortgage in the current financial climate. It will be a joint application with my husband.
I entered into an IVA in 2004, and it is was completed & satisfied in 2006.
We have not been in debt since completion and (would hope) we now have a fairly decent credit rating (albeit IVA).
We currently rent a house, and keep receiving numerous mailings to a previous tennant who clearly was in serious debt, as they are all from bailiffs and collectors. Will this go against us in an application, due to the credit rating of the property?
Many thanks in anticipation of your help

Hi
How much deposit do you have saved up a the moment?
Oh the issues with the previous tenant won't affect you - totally seperate. (Properties don't have a credit rating and can't be 'blacklisted' or anything)0 -
Hello
We don't have any deposit just yet. We are going to be applying via a shared equity scheme (Mychoice Homebuy) which do not require a deposit.
However, we would probably have a £10k deposit by this time next year by gift.
That's good news about the address!Quidco earnings: £656.09
