I'm looking for a china 3 tier cake stand!

Hi everyone!
I have been looking for a china 3 tier cake stand , you know like the traditional ones in old fashioned tea rooms, to serve scones cakes etc. I have looked in local stores and online and the only place I have found any are ebay. Two reasons I'm not keen on this are..I would like it to be new, and also a bit wary of posted china ! Went into a specialty cake shop, and the lady there said she has had so many requests for the same, but couldn't tell me where to find one! I live in Essex, have tried the local Debenhams, and they had a 2 tier only.Any advice appreciated !

Don't know if this is anywhere near what you're looking for: HERE

If you scroll down, a 3 tier one is mentioned. It isn't cheap though.

I'm looking for a 2 or 3 tier stand, for xmas mini desserts. Blowed if I can find one, anywhere, made of anything!

Deleted others - they were doll sized
  • Hi Binxy..many thanks for that..yes it is lovely but a little pricey at £52 and if I am being fussy ( and for that price why not?!) I also would prefer plainer to match my "teaset" .They do have a 2 tier mentioned there for you at £32. I did find that Portmerion do a 2 tier one in fruit pattern, or special xmas design for £27 if that is what you're after in Debenhams, and they are having a special sale day next week I think 20% off.. mentioned elsewhere on site (sorry can't do links :o ) That might be the best we can find.... unless someone knows better?? :D

My Mum bought a beautiful 3 tiered stand a few months ago at the McArthur Glen Outlet Village - it is crystal with faint rose coloured flowers inlaid into the plates - really pretty. I can't remember how much it was exactly but I am pretty sure it was under £20.

  • McArthur Glen Outlet is a nice day out from me here ..about 60 miles, and I do plan to go there for a Xmas shop. You don't happen to know which store your Mum got this from do you, or could you find out? Many thanks as it does sound more like what I'm after!

It was in the Home section...can't remember the name of the retailer sorry. I do know that if you register at MacArthur Glen online they will send you a 10% voucher booklet!
