Is it possible to speak with someone in the tax office so i can discuss how to complete tax returns?
Its the first time I have to do one and its not as straight forward as it could be!
How can I arrange it?

This is an open forum - we'll all be pleased to help if you explain further!
The tax office will gladly help if you call them.
If you need more detailed planning then employing the services of a Chartered Tax Adviser would be your next step...0 -
Even if your tax office is not the local one, if you give them some notice they can transfer the file and see you locally.
Oh, and by the way, Mr Payless, its 'ee bah gum', by 'eck it is!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
The regional tax ofices offer a free half day course on the topic of how to complete your Tax Return (for Sole Traders for example). Get yourself booked in on the next one anyway! Meanwhile the above advice stands. I did my own Return by reading all the info you can download from the Tax Office in PDF documents. OK for a sole trader with no special complications.0

It may feel complex to you but your circumstances sound extremely straightforward compared to others so dont be afraid to ask for the help. You can call at a local tax office without an appointment and wait or make an actual appointment. They will have access to your computer records and any information you require even if they are not your own tax office. the tax office no longer works with files as a general rule so none will need to be transferred.I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes
