I've got some good news - I, a la Martin's advice, asked for a payrise and it looks like I'm going to get it. :j I put a good old business case together as to why and it went down a treat.... So I should be able to be DF quicker.... As soon as I know how much - I'm planning to put the extra into the snowball calculator so I can work out how much quicker my DFD will be and so I am less tempted to go out and spend! I am having a little treat tonight tho as I'd already arranged to meet a friend for a drink and a pudding (is in my SOA).

Well money wise I'm still spending more than I should... We did both get the £60 so that was good. I've got the benefit of reduced childcare this month but I do need to be more careful. We do have a free nights accommodation for this weekend so MIL is having the kids and we are going away - I just hope it doesn't become an expensive trip. Got plenty of food in (but still bought more - I don't know what that's about!)... We are holding out on the heating tho BbrrrAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi everyone,
YB I think the scarf sounds lovely and can you make me one please, because it is bloomin cold!!!
IC enjoy dinner with the boss!! Sounds quite fun for work?!!
SH I hope you enjoy your night away, after all your hard money saving, you deserve it, so relax and enjoy.
SC yes we got the refund but I'm sorry to say our hectic weekend last weekend means it is probably gone!!
HTGDF I wouldn't worry hun about your savings, unless you have over 50K you are safe.
This week has been a busy one for me, I love my work but it can be very demanding and somedays the hardest part can be getting me and the children out of the house, dropping off at school and then driving the 25 miles to work.... I need a lie down in a dark room when I get there some days!!
I had a parents curriculum workshop this evening for DD because she is now in year 1. Then I had to drive to pick up DS from Badminton club, then we got home and had our supper at about 9pm. Luckily DH had put DD to bed and cooked spag bol, so that was great. I came in from the cold to a nice plate of pasta and a lovely glass of wine.
Day off tomorrow and I am ready for it.... (I know I only work four days and many of you work five, so you must think I am a wimp) I do get tired and ready for my child and work free day on a Friday. Although, often it is filled with housework and food shopping.
DH and I have decided to start with renewed money saving enthusiasm this month and have some really good weeks again starting from now. Wish us luck.
Have any of you been watching 'the family' on channel 4? it was on last night and I am really enjoying it.
I am used to my new darker (well highlight free) hair colour now and I am thinking I might stay a bit darker for the autumn!!
Oh well I will stop my ramblings now and sign off. Big autumn cold night hugs to you all. Keep up the good money saving ways and thanks for being my online chums!!
xxxxxx

Hi,
Just a note to say well done to everyone on this thread. I have lurked on here from the start, and now 13 pages in, I have decided to join in :j .
Regarding the Virgin Vie, I very briefly did Body Shop at Home but I am a useless sales person, I managed to make enough off friends and family to cover the cost of the kit and I got to keep the kit and I love body shop products which was a bonus too!
I am going in to work tonight to do an extra 3 hours as we are short staffed as everyone is sick so that makes me feel better about the £60.00 spent in Aldi's this afternoon :eek:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Hi Sky, Welcome to our thread, I love it and hope you get as much out of it as we do!
I love V.V. Gets me out of the house and to be honest, I could sell snow to Eskimo's,so I make a good bit of money this time of year! Plus, all the great products which my 2 stepdgts love, 17 and 14, you can just imagine!
Looking forward to tonight and tom night in the house. They will be my only 2 w'end nights in the house from now to 5th Dec!! Booked out with parties!
Anyone doing anything nice over the w'end? Hopefully tackling the mountain of ironing tomorrow while the girls dust and hoover! Then its a bottle of wine and a dvd for me while OH and kids go to youth club in church! Hurray for Youth Club! Milly and I will have a girls night in! (Milly is my baby! I mean DOG!)Debt - £10,000
