Spotted this in the store today, not flagged up as a special offer, just among the other fresh chickens. Lots there.
I know it's late, but my brain makes this a better buy than the 2.5kg bird they're shouting about being a half price bargain at £4. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong- it has been known!
We've already had the £4 version and it was good. Lovely and moist with a good flavour, (or am I just a fab cook?!) Obviously can't compare with free range etc, but not bad and excellent value.

I bought one of these last week for a roast ~ it was beauutiful!!
There was hardly any difference in size to those and the £4 birds and it easily fed 5 of us with more to spare.
It was so delish, I'll be picking another one up tomorrow!

I don't want to be preachy but please remember it isn't good value to either the chickens or the farmers. Farmers get paid more for free range and organic. Try to support them if you can
