Hi there,
I got a letter from 1st credit saying i owe Lloyds TSB £11.826.38? on saturday the 30th August 2008
And if i dont pay them they will get a CCJ and a charging order??? and force the sale of my house to pay the debt?I spoke to llyds directly with the only information i had which was from this letter - some account number that lloyds couldnt anything with?
One big issue i have with all this is that........ i dont have an account with Lloyds TSB, Never have done, never had any conversation with them about lending money/ credit cards ect. Never had any credit agreements ect....even if i wanted £11k they wouldnt lend it to me anyway!
ng with it???? They need a sort code or another accoutn number....I dont have any of this becuase i dont have any accounts with Lloyds
they suggested i write to the lloyds head office explainging the situation and attaching the letter.
They said get a credit report, which i did online, this would show the activity with the my money...... Noting cam eup regarding this £11k that i am ment to owe? It did show that 1st credit did a check on me though????
What should i do? I've read on other sites that 1st credt are a nightmare to deal with.
Please help

If they're writing to you why do they need you to tell them your account number and sort code??The only thing worse than smug married couple; lots of smug married couples.0

1st Credit are fishing. Someone with the same or similar name to you owes the money so they just send letters to all the cosmicjonnys they can find in the hope that at least one will pay up.
Send them the 'prove it ' letterDear Sir/Madam
Account No: 12345678910You have contacted us regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by
ourselves. We would point out that we have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to The Loan Company. We are familiar with the .Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance. which states that it is unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question. We would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair to pursue third parties for payment when they are not liable. In not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried
or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods.Furthermore, ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to psychological harassment. We would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above accounts unless you can provide evidence as to our liability for the debt in question. We await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed. Otherwise we will have no option but to make a complaint to the trading standards department and consider informing the OFT of your actions. We look forward to your reply.Yours faithfully
