::)
Just got back from Safeway in Thamesmead, south London. They have an offer for BOGOF on packs of four (AA type as well as other packs) duracell batteries, each pack being £2-95.
However when I got to the checkout they had some packs of AA with four extra free in the pack still at £2-95.(eight pack)These were also BOGOF.
So you get 16 Duracell AA batteries for £2-95
Good deal............

Is there any point in me even looking for this offer? Everything I've seen here lately has usually turned out to be an English only offer. :'(Herman - MP for all!

Well said aliasojo. Now I know we live in the same area we'll have to keep an eye out on the offers for each other.If I had known then what I know now . . .

hi. generally batteries are the biggest rip-off, and places like argos make muchos £££ by selling them at a very high price. 16 batteries for £2.95 is not bad, but don't forget that with batteries there is little difference between brands, providing they are alkaline.
So Ikea's own-brand (made by Varta, a very large battery company) alkaline batteries at £1.80 for 10 is a
very good deal.
I also wouldn't burn petrol to go specially to Morrisons, as you can read reviews of alkaline batteries, and while their ultra batteries are about 15% better than other alkalines generally one alkaline is much the same as another. You can get 12 panasonic alkalines for £2.49 from 7dayshop
PS. I recommend cheap rechargeables for most general applications (toys, etc.), as there is no point in spending more for higher capacity unless you need it, as you can just recharge 10% more often (which you won't notice anyway).
again, 7dayshop has 6 ni-cd batteries for £4.29 - but then you won't need to buy any batteries again.....0 -
They are doing it in Glasgow so you may be in luck.Is there any point in me even looking for this offer? Everything I've seen here lately has usually turned out to be an English only offer. :'(Questions are a burden for others; answers a prison for oneself.0 -
Thanks Highlandlass and Mass_Nerder ( ??? I wont even ask how that came about, lol.)
I'll drag myself off the computer and venture out to my nearest Safeway and have a squizz.
