Work 9-5, how can I get a loan?
Hi all.
I'm having trouble getting to the bank as I have to go to work before they open, and they're closed before I'm home - how can I get around this and go through the process of getting an unsecured loan? Will I have to arrange to be called in my lunch hour? I just find it concerning that I won't be speaking to an actual person face to face.
regards
/J

If it's a big deal to you, take some time off? Some banks and building societies will offer saturday appts0

They may offer a late appointment if they think they are going to get a bit of business!0

I don't do time off haha, I'll ask them for a late appointment then - I would much rather speak to someone properly! Cheers x0

joonyer,
are you comfortable setting it up online? most banks will give you an instant decision? its more or less the same process. Who do you bank with?0 -
Call them whenever. Their call centres are probably open til 7 or 8.
Why do you need to speak to someone? There's nothing they can do in branch that can't be done over the phone or online.
The app itself will probably take no more than 30 mins. Also, if you are concerned about phone bill, ask them to call you back immediately.Kavanne

Your choice - if you want to speak to someone face to face you'll probably have to make arrangements to get some time off. What's more important to you - a face to face meeting or not doing 'time off'?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
If you don't have time to see someone personally how will you have the time to spend the money?0

If you live near a big shopping centre like Meadowhall or Lakeside etc they operate different hours than other branches such as Sundays et you do sometimes get a preferential rate if you apply online though, worth remembering.

The money isn't for spending mate it's an investment of sorts.
I didn't realise the process was that simple - in which case I'll do it online, no worries. I bank with Halifax, but I like the offers from moneybackbank at the moment. not doing PPI but their APR is pretty decent.
Will let you know how it goes, cheers!

If you tell them that you are investing in something eg shares that probably is a straight decline for a lot of lenders.0
