I'm thinking about starting a new challenge....

Wanted to see what people think
Basically the idea is whenever you use a money off coupon, you actually put the money you've saved into s jar - so if its 20p off something you put 20p into the jar and at the end of the year you tot it all up and put it towards you debts (or have a big knees up at xmas!!)
The idea is that you actually see the money you've saved and either pay a chunk off debt or treat yourself to comething nice rather than it just being frittered away on something else.
Need to think of a snazzy title....
anyone interested

Hello,
I like the sound of a shiny new challenge & this sounds like one I can actually stick to  .
Is it just money off vouchers, cos I dont get many of thoseor, could it also be for things like bogof's or 2 for 3 offers ?
Tell me the rules please so I dont do it wrong & get told off
Great idea, thanks

I like it, I'm in!! I will put all the money I save into my debt pig Angus!0

Hi - that sounds like an awesome idea - and I like the idea of doing the bogoffs and 2 for 1's too! My tesco's arrived today and I had total savings of £15.33 - so I will put this aside until you decide on a name !0
-
Great yes lets include all those too! Just ned to think of a title now?
Shiny new special offer challenge???!0 -
oh sounds good :j
small savings to big savings challenge??
a lady i used to keywork in my previous employment used to do this- bless her, she would buy bogof- put her savings in a jar and then quite often try and give the free one away. She had a heart of gold :A
QUIDCO- £88.99p
Everytime i say the word exercise- i wash my mouth out with chocolate :EasterBun0 -

Anyone want to join?
Like tired mum's title - small savings to big savings challenge.
Rules are:
Everytime you use a money off coupon or bogof etc you put the money you actually saved into a jar. You can only count things you were going to buy anyway - ie. if you are tempted by bogof cakes or reduced biscuits this doesnt count as you have actually ended up spending more anyway if hat makes sense?!
Shall we agree a date to open our jars and tot up? Was thinking 31st Dec so it can go towards Jan payments which is usually a tight month rather than just getting spent at xmas??0 -
I think they do something similar on Old Style - called Pin Money Savings possibly..... I don't go over there very often, so it would be great to do one over here too. I'm in!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
