Good return at the moment as inflation is quite high.Especially good if you're a high rate taxpayer. Totally guaranteed as well and tax free.

Some ISAs will give a better return for a basic rate taxpayer..

BOL franchises are still a minority of the business, would it be possible to transer to a non-franchise store, or apply for a job in BTC? The old Boots pension (before they closed it to new staff) is one of the better run ones, and got a cash injection when the company was taken over.

Hi no possibilty of a transfer. It looks like eventually all optical depts will be franchised. to be honest I love optics and enjoy my job (sad or what!)
