I wanna a coffee maker & telescope

I am looking for a good price on either of the following coffee makers:

Kenwood ES550 Cafe Retro or a DeLonghi Combi Steam Coffee Maker.


and for my husband as a surprise a:Celestron Firstscope 114EQ Short

but if there are any budding astronomers who could suggest a good first timers telescop alternative it would be much appreciated.

If you can get to a Costco have a look in there. They usually stock a Meade 4inch relfector with computer "go to" technology that is ideal for beginners as you can just tell it what you want to see and it will steer the telescope to the object and track it for you.

The one I got a couple of years ago was about £200 and is excellent.

They also stock quite a good selection of coffe machines.

Well i'm no astronmer but in my local Aldi they had a huge telescope all packed up in a hard case for only £29.99. Looked fantastic, but I don't have any details on it. Maybe someone else on here has more info? Or if you have one local you could pop in?

I got the Aldi one last Thursday they werent on display though I had to ask. Not sure how good it is, but I woiuldnt expect too much. My daughter and I use to go to local astronmy club and when asked about telescopes I doubt you get anything decent uder a few hundred, they called teh cheap one's Mickey mouse telescopes.

I was in Costco (Leeds) last night and they had the Celestron telescope in. I think it was the NexStar 60GTL model and it was about £100. It has the computer controller for finding and tracking stars/planets etc. and so makes an ideal telescope for beginners.
