Hi, all I don’t know where to post this.
My 16 year old daughter just finished her first job she had only been there for two months but they paid her two weeks holiday pay £280, obviously they then asked for it back. Being foolhardy she had spent the money already. Well after two weeks the mater was passed to the legal dept, the letter sent 18/08 says if the money is not paid by cheque within three days we will take court proceedings.
Well the cheque went out 22/08, the acknowledgement we received from them 27/08. The same day a county court order for £350, this is the money owed , interest, court fees, and solicitor cost .
How do we defend this it’s the costs almost £70 she is disputing
Think it is very unreasonable to expect it to happen so quick.
