sudden panic!! please help!

i have a current account with abbey and a c&g mortgage.

i have just checked my account online as my mortgage and other bills come out tomorrow and have seen that there is a large amount of money missing but there are no transactions waiting to come out.

Does anybody know if the bills have been removed ready to go out tomorrow? if not there will not be enough in there for my mortgage payment and the other bills.

How can money be missing without any transactions showing?

    Doesn't add up.
  • thats what i dont understand. i cant phone up and talk to abbey as their phone lines only open monday-saturday.

im really hope that everything will go out tomorrow as normal!

Does the amount thats missing add up to the payments that are due to come out tomorrow?

If there are no transactions showing, and you have no reason to think the money has gone anywhere (drunken visits to the hole in the wall) it's probably just a glitch.

Mine always does that, if you have dd's coming out on the first they will have deducted this from your available already, if you check your DD page it will say last paid on the 1st September. That is if you have a dd page i'm with A&L. The amount missing is likely to be the amount due to go out.
  • thanks for the advice everyone. Ive tried working out the difference and its slightly different so Im going to have to wait till tomorrow to make sure everything is ok!
  • Do not panic. It is normal and I'm sure it will all look ok again tomorrow.

i thought most big banks had call centres available 24h 365 days a year. guess i am wrong on that count. one good reason to bank with a bank who have call centres that are accessible 24h 365 days a year.

do u have fraud protection or a advantage account / plus account etc that gives u free fraud protection or a capital one credit card (the type that gives free fraud protection). hope things go well for u tomorrow. talk to the ban first thing in the morning and iron things out.

thanks to everyone for their help!
