Hi, can anyone help with a council tax query?
My oh is being led to believe he is liable for an unpaid council tax debt incurred in excess of £1000. The debt is from a previous relationship, his ex did not pay the bill, his name was not on the council tax bill or the rental agreement. He gave his ex the money and she chose to spend it on other things..now the LA are pursuing her for the debt and she is only agreeing to pay half.
Is he liable?
