Bet your gonna win something Big :)

That would be nice......but I have an amazing ability to win low value items (all of which I appreciate though)! :D My highest value win (which happened to be my first win) is a set of rather lovely saucepans worth £150. I think I peaked too early! :rotfl:Some of my most favourite/most useful wins are the lowest value wins (i.e. mascara worth £1.79)
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

It's a big effort at first but definitely worth it in the long run. When my kids were away at their dads for a long weekend I went right back to the oldest thread and worked my way back. Admittedly it was almost 3 days solid sat at my computer, but by the time the kids came home I'd been right through the forum and entered all the comps I wanted to, right up to the most recent competitions posted.

Now all I have to do each day is do the daily entries and the comps that are posted since I last logged on. I can normally get this done while sat having my morning cuppa and brekkie and then I enter some again in the evening. I probably only need to dedicate about an hour each day to entering the comps. When I went away for a long weekend last week it didn't take me long to catch up either.

Since I've started doing it this way (about a month ago) I've not needed to use the comps ending list at all, I've managed to spend time searching google for new comps to post, plus I can be more active on this thread and the compers inn. This really is the way forward in comping on MSE!!!! :D :T :j

I totally agree Kisto, but sometimes life gets in the way  . That has happened to me over the past 6 weeks and now I'm 70+ pages behind and desperately trying to catch up again. That's why the comps ending posts have been so helpful recently.

I'll catch up again in the end, but in the mean time the comps ending would have helped out a lot.

Sounds a lot like me JEn, I stopped not long after big snap.

Difference is I bet that like me you are trying to catch up, but it appears that some people seem to think comps ending lists have always been around and going via the lists are the only way they are entering comps now, instead of going through the pages and threads themselves at all.
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

i think that is how alot of people are entering now, as they think it saves them time and effort working through the forum. And they also like that they win asap not have to wait ages for a WEM.

I just wish I had time to enter myself, I cant remember the last tmime i entered a comp

Aw, thats not right, you need some time too.

You did a fab job clearing up, I am happy to help out in any way I can if you need it, I'm just never very sure what to do with expired/dead comps, etc. Did you still need help with the reg comps or did you get enough, as I have time in the evenings if that is any use?

  • I'm gonna enter all the 1st Sept comps this way and then do an all-nighter to get myself up to date...

Turns out my all-nighter might turn into an all-week-er  I'm up to 7th August now, just another 120-odd pages to go..._pale_:rotfl:

I'm seriously considering leaving this forum!! the discussion about comps ending is now going on in the comps ending thread too and I just feel like people are doing it on purpose. It used to be friendly on here!!
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
  • Right I've just started the Challenge to do the comps.
I've worked out that if I do around 5 pages a day at least (because I'm only briefly at the computer each day), then I should be pretty much up to date within the next month.
Obviously some days will be more than others, but life comes first.
