Hi everyone,
I've been wating to invest in a good quality MP3 player for ages and would ideally like an IPOD. Trouble is Im only willing to spend £100 on it and as you can guess i has left me with not much choice.
Are there any IPOD out there for under £100?
I know there is an IPOD shuffle at around £70 but its only 512MB and would really like at least 1GB for all my MP3s.
Im open to suggestions from other brands, as long as they are of a high quality, especially when it comes to sound quality and battery life!
Demanding I know, but I thought i'd ask some of you experts before i give up

Hmm, if I were looking or this level of player at the moment, I would consider ONE OF THESE
They look really nice (especially the white one), and I've heard good things.
Pretty much £100 on the dot (and 1gb)0 -

I bought this for my daughter for Xmas

Hopefully it's OK as I know nothing at all about MP3s (although I see it is 3GB) -I used a Boots code to get £10 off , so it worked out at £90 + £12 in points.
(they do them in black as well !)0 -
The 1Gig version of the Ipod Shuffle is £88 on the apple site. It's also worth keeping an eye on their refurb store as iPods occasionally appear there. Finally keep an eye on Ebay - I picked up my 512MB ipod for £35 (OK it didn't have ear phones but they never stay in my ears anyhow).0

Argos are selling a 40Gb MP3 player for £99.............. YES 40GB !!!!
Its a Venturer model, so i have no idea of the quality or battery life. It looks like it has a decent screen and menus though.
It might be worth taking a look at it instore to see what it looks like and battery life ( MP3 players are excluded from the 16 day money back because of copyright on the music).
Its item number 513/3312
Was tempted to get one for the car ( using with a FM transmitter off ebay)0 -

The iPods might not always be the best spec or most compatable player around but there really is something about them, once you hold one it would be really hard to choose something else.
The 2Gb iPod Nanos are £139, but, and here's the hard bit, if you can find a Boots with one in stock on one of their Christmas Shopping nights, and spent another £11 to bring your total spend up to £150 you would get an extra 1200 adantage points (worth £12) for every £50 spent plus the normal £6 for spending £150, totalling £42 worth of points to spend in Boots, plus possibly a £5 voucher if thats still on the go at the time.
So that just about brings the ipod to £100 provided your extra £11 spend and £42 of points are spent on something you need/want anyway. Check out all the Boots threads for details and the https://www.boots.com website for details of the Christmas Shopping nights where the offer runs.
As I said, hard bit will be finding one in stock - Inverness had a few a week or so ago, but I didn't see any in 2 Glasgow stores this week.0 -
