'Which?' Report will probably have a review of the available cordless phones. Your library should have the last few months copies.

Hi, not sure what type of phone you're looking for - i.e. no of handsets. Depending I would recommend the following - I've got the quint version and it works like treat:

I checked Argos etc, but your can't really buy good quality DECT from high street. Siemens were supposed to have a range out but i've heard it will be mid next year now.

I bought my BT Freelance DECT phones off Ebay, they were refurbished and had a 3 month warranty.
I paid around £40 for 4 handsets/bases - The seller was a Powerseller with 100% feedback.
It was over a year ago, so can't find his details unfortunately, but do a search on Ebay and buy off a reputable dealer.
