SOA Confusion

Hi all.

Income is 400 a month from State Pension (65yo)

The Bankruptcy forms have slots for:

Mortgage - 0
Housekeeping (inc food/cleaning) - 160
Gas/Elec/heat - 60
Telephone (+mobile) - 24
Travelling - 25 (taxi once a week? are you allowed this is your old :P ?)
Clothing - 20
Maintenance payments and fines - 0
council tax - 0

This leaves 111 a month thereabouts.
My Dad is having trouble thinking of what else can be put under the "Other essential Payments" section.

Anyone have any advice? Bankruptcy Forms are getting handed in on Tuesday.

Regards.

What about water bill. I don't really think they can take his state pension. Have you phoned CCCS or National DebtLine? They offer free advice.

    What are your dad's debts?

This site is about to close (at 8:00 ) for maintenance and will be closed the rest of the day so be sure to come back tomorrow.

He can add haircuts. Does he pay for subscriptions? He probably doesn't pay for optician and dental?

Yeah I guess he can add haircuts maybe 10 a week.
I think all Health stuff is free, though? I'll have to ask.

I was reading some people have put holidays on their SOA lol. Is this even allowed? He hasn't had a holiday in 9 years.

    Laters.

Holidays depend really on the OR but generally you are allowed one of :
    Holiday fund
    Emergency fund
    Birthdays and Christmas fund.

I had holidays allowed on mine but the other two disallowed, On the insolvency website it does state that a reasonable allowance is allowed for holidays so its worth putting down a small amount and hoping it gets through.

If you don't try you won't get :)
    :hello:
Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.
An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
